About Us

More Than Firefighters — We're Your Neighbors

For over six decades, the Calvert Township Volunteer Fire Department has stood ready to serve Sheridan and the surrounding communities. What started as a small group of concerned residents has grown into a dedicated team of over 50 volunteers who answer the call every day.

We live where you live. We shop at the same stores, send our kids to the same schools, and share the same commitment to keeping our community safe. When you call 911, you're not just getting a fire department — you're getting the people next door, trained and equipped to help.
